What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how animehk collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile applications, account features, property-search tools, communications and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It also explains the choices available to you.

The Service is designed so that property searching and browsing can generally be used without creating an account. Some personalised or business features require an account.

Data you provide to us

• Account and profile information: information such as your name, email address, telephone number, password or authentication information, and account role where applicable.
• Business or agent information: agency, professional and billing details provided when using advertiser, broker or other business features.
• Communications: information you send when contacting support, making an enquiry, reporting a listing, requesting a correction, or exercising a privacy right.
• Paid-service information: purchase, credit, invoice and transaction records where you use a paid service. Payment credentials may be handled by a payment provider rather than stored directly by us.

Information generated when you use the Service

• Search and account activity: saved listings, saved searches, notification preferences and other account-linked activity where those features are used.
• Device and network information: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, language, timestamps, diagnostic information and similar technical data used to operate and secure the Service.
• Location: approximate location and, only with device permission, more precise location when you use a feature that needs it, such as searching near your current location.
• Local device storage: cookies, browser storage and similar technologies may remember session/login state, language, theme, size-unit settings, recently viewed properties and other preferences.
• Notifications: if you enable mobile push notifications, we may receive and store an app/device notification token and the notification preferences linked to it.

Purposes of processing

• Provide property search, maps, listing details, saved items, alerts, account and business features.
• Authenticate accounts, maintain sessions and protect the Service against misuse, fraud and security threats.
• Respond to support requests, listing corrections, removal requests and privacy requests.
• Operate paid or advertiser services and keep appropriate transaction and accounting records.
• Measure reliability, diagnose errors, understand feature performance and improve the Service.
• Send service messages and, where permitted and selected, property alerts or marketing communications.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

When information may be shared

We do not disclose personal information simply because a user browses a property. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, email/notification, security, analytics, payment and professional service providers acting for us.
• Property agents or third-party advertisers: when you deliberately contact, enquire with, call, email, message or otherwise choose to interact with them. Information you send to that third party will then be subject to its own privacy practices.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
• Legal and safety reasons: where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, users or the integrity of the Service.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the Service, resolve disputes, maintain security, meet accounting or legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type.

When an account is deleted, we delete or de-identify account-linked personal information unless we need to retain a limited record for a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting or regulatory reason. Public property data, third-party listing information and information that is not linked to the deleted account are not part of account deletion.

Privacy controls

• Change account/profile information where the Service provides that control.

• Delete your account through the deletion process described on our account-deletion page.
• Disable optional device location permission through your iOS/Android or browser settings.
• Change email or push-notification preferences using the relevant settings or unsubscribe mechanism.
• Clear or block browser cookies/local storage through browser controls, noting that some login and preference features may then stop working correctly.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss, misuse or disclosure. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should also protect their passwords and devices.

Third-party websites and services

The Service contains links to property agencies, advertisers and other third-party websites and may display content provided from third-party servers. The Service is intended for general property-search and business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

The Service is operated using infrastructure that may be located in the United States and other countries. If you use the Service from another jurisdiction, information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we will apply appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
